Week 6 Update

Things are going well for our sustainable house. We are still working on electrical and heat loads, and some more confirming R-values and such, but these things are just about finalized and should be complete soon. We have started working on the Final Report Draft, which will be finished next week.

Week 9 Update

This past week has been focused on the poster as well as the presentation that we will do next week. The finishing touches of the poster were added, and the format of the poster was changed. Imisi was the one who worked on the change, which helped the poster look better and more professional. In regards to the presentation, the general structure of it was decided on, as well who would be working on what. Some finishing work was done on E-Quest, which helped enable more accurate results.

There has been a great deal of work done this week. There has been a lot of focus on the various loads that will be on the house. Lars has been working on the heating load with Rediet. Lars has been looking at the energy needed to heat the home, while Rediet has been focusing on the heating produced by people and the like. Imisi has been working on the final touches for the envelope, while Dan has been working on water consumption calculations and the system itself. The progress is looking great; the house is really coming together!
